Bad news for UK Ticket Touts ?

After years of ticket touting in the UK, and millions of genuine fans ripped-off by the secondary ticket market, MPs finally seem to take some action against auction sites allowing inflated resale of tickets.

In the report carried out by the Culture, Media and Sport select committee, it’s understood that MPs will suggest that the Office of Fair Trading threaten action if no code is agreed, according to Gigwise.

The report will accuse eBay (yes !!) and similar ’secondary ticket agents’ such as Viagogo and Seatwave of making huge profits by exploiting fans’ readiness to pay over the odds for sold-out events and front row seats, etc…

If you want to read more about the good news, please read the article published in The Guardian on the 23 december 2007.

So good news then. Hopefully it will have a real impact… this time !

But until then…

… don’t forget, avoid the touts, buy your concert tickets at face value !
