2008 will see the return of Glastonbury’s award winning registration process and photo tickets. It is refreshing to see that the only event that manage to really beat the touts is one of the biggest festival around the world. It actually shows that it could be done if one really wanted to…
So this year again, fans wanting to attend the festival will have to register first in order to be able to buy tickets before they go on sale at a later date.
The registration process starts at 9am on Friday 1st February 2008 and closes on the 29th. Tickets for the festival will then go on sale on April 6.
You can register by either going to the Glastonbury website or by completing a form which is available from branches of Millets.
Fortunately no point here to warn you to avoid the touts…

Rumours are now more than persistent, the “king of pop” Michael Jackson seems to be in talks with the O2 Arena over the possibility of a ten-night residency later this year, according to today’s TIMES newspaper (7 January).
A spokesman told Drownedinsound: “Nothing is confirmed yet unfortunately so I’m not in a position to comment to be honest, but yes, it is something that is being discussed.
“I can’t give out any information as there is nothing concrete to comment on yet. Sorry!”
Understand what you wish… However with £1 million offered per concert according to THE NEWS OF THE WORLD, one might wonder if Michael Jackson would refuse this very attractive comeback. But there again, the tabloid also reports news of a 30-night residency… as Gigwise published today too.
10 mights or 30 nights, nothing has been confirmed yet, so let’s wait ! Of course, news will be published as soon as they come on Face Value Ticket !

Led Zeppelin Tour 2008 or not? It looks like it is going to happen… or not?
Firstly announced on NME after Ian Astbury declared during one of his gigs in Cincinnati USA on November 17th “We’ll be back next year, because we’re opening for a band you may have heard of. The name starts with an ‘L’ and has a ‘Z’ in it”, the reunion tour of one the greatest rock band of all time has been subject to many rumours and stories. However rumours seem a little too precise to be totally untrue…
According to Gigwise “Bosses at Cardiff’s Millennium stadium have admitted that they are in talks with the band’s management about performing at the venue next year.” The news was revealed by the WRU’s head man Roger Lewis who is personal friends of Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones.
He said to the South Wales Echo: “We would love to welcome Led Zeppelin and we have already put in a request to Harvey Goldsmith (the band’s promoter).
“We have a good relationship with Harvey, who also handles Bruce Springsteen who is coming to the stadium.
“Initially, Harvey said they were only going to do a one-off gig but now they are considering a tour.
“The thing is, we are the only stadium in Britain with a retractable roof and we can guarantee a perfect event for 70,000 people. There’s nowhere else in the country that can do that.”
To add to the confusion Led Zeppelin members do not seem to hold the same view about future shows.
Lead singer Robert Plant has been quoted as saying “there’ll be one show and that’s it”, whereas guitarist Jimmy Page insisted: “It’s a bit selfish to do just one show. If that’s it, we probably shouldn’t have taken the genie out of the bottle.” Robert orJimmy, you choose…
Following the huge reunion gig at the O2 Arena in London on December 12th, where only a few chosen ones have had the chance of a lifetime to see Led Zeppelin perform again, a few more in the UK and around the world may well a new opportunity to rock again in 2008…
Of course all news and developments will be posted here on Face Value Ticket !
We wish you all a merry Christmas and an happy new year…
… and don’t forget next year, avoid the touts, buy your concert tickets at face value !
