2008 will see the return of Glastonbury’s award winning registration process and photo tickets. It is refreshing to see that the only event that manage to really beat the touts is one of the biggest festival around the world. It actually shows that it could be done if one really wanted to…

So this year again, fans wanting to attend the festival will have to register first in order to be able to buy tickets before they go on sale at a later date.

The registration process starts at 9am on Friday 1st February 2008 and closes on the 29th. Tickets for the festival will then go on sale on April 6.

You can register by either going to the Glastonbury website or by completing a form which is available from branches of Millets.

Fortunately no point here to warn you to avoid the touts…

It has just been announced that Sex Pistols will headline the festival Live at Loch Lomond this year. The 2-days festival will take place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August 2008 at Ballock Castle Country Park, Ballock, Scotland. Sex Pistols, one of the most important and exciting bands in the history of British music , will perfom on Sunday 3/08.

The Isle of Wight Festival 2008 will take place 13th – 15th June at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight. Headliners have already been announced: with Kaiser Chiefs on Friday, The Police on Saturday and Sex Pistols on Sunday, this 2008 Isle of Wight festival promises to be a great one.

OXEGEN 2008 FESTIVAL - EARLY BIRD WEEKEND TICKETS

Following the exciting news that early bird weekend camping tickets for OXEGEN 2008 go on sale on this Friday 30 November at 8am, OXEGEN.ie have exclusively revealed that Kings of Leon are confirmed to play OXEGEN 2008, after you voted them the band you most want to see in our festival poll. Oxegen 2008 is a three day event running from Friday 11 July to Sunday 13 July at PUNCHESTOWN RACECOURSE, Ireland.

A presale is currently on for Oxegen registered fans only. But if you are not so lucky, then don’t miss the EARLY BIRD weekend camping tickets sale will take this Fraiday at 8am . The Police will headline the Festival with a closing night performance in the beautiful surroundings of Seaclose Park, Newport.

Festival Promoter John Giddings confirmed The Police will headline Sunday night and bring the 2008 Festival to a close, “It is a coup to get The Police for the Festival, we are very happy to have the biggest tour of the last two years stopping by the Isle of Wight.” The Police will return to Europe in 2008, and the Isle of Wight performance will be the only UK festival show for the trio.

Hello everyone,

So here we are, Face Value Ticket is now officially launched.

Ten days ago, the blog has been put live, it was only for the moderator and the administrator to have a look online at the pages while they were done. Put live did not mean launched, the blog was never submitted to search engines or blog directories, we did not expect Face value Ticket to be (already) picked up by Google, to see visitors coming, and even less to have… 9 people already registered to the blog (by the way Face Value Ticket would like to welcome these 9 first members). This is very promising… Don’t forget people that you can have your say on Face Value Ticket, you can add your comments, and feel free to contact the admin if you have any query, question or tip. We have a busy time ahead. And it is getting worse… more and more people seem to get into that game, from the average Jo who tries to earn a few quid to the so-called “reputed agencies”, big-scale touts with the only difference that they (are able to) rip people off under a limited company name. WHY Face Value Ticket?

I am going to tell you a very common story…

You want to go to a concert. You will try to get some tickets when they go on sale for the public, generally on Friday (but not always…). Now you’ve been waiting all week for that moment and it comes, you are more than ready, if you are a big fan, you are very excited… The tickets go on sale: you are trying madly for 5 minutes (if you cannot make it when tickets go on sale, there you know that you will have absolutely NO chance AT ALL later on…) to finally discover that tickets are sold out.
